Todos Juntos is an introduction to Spanish language and culture designed specifically for preschool-age children. Language acquisition is natural and fun for young children, and they delight in sharing their new knowledge and skills with family and friends.
During each ten-week session, children and their caregivers will explore the Spanish language through songs and music, rhymes, games, stories, crafts, and other age-appropriate activities. Children will also learn about Spanish and Latin cultures: the customs and traditions children in Spanish-speaking cultures enjoy.
Topics covered will include colors, numbers, animals, body parts, food, clothing, weather, greetings, feelings, and many more. These topics will be explored continuously throughout each session, allowing children many opportunities to practice their learning and to integrate new knowledge into various activities. Children will feel a great sense of accomplishment as they begin recognizing and using Spanish in their daily lives!

Emily comes to Meryl’s Music and Arts after having attended Music Together® classes with her children for the past five years. She has been teaching Spanish to students of all ages since being selected to pilot a kindergarten Spanish program during her sophomore year in college. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Elementary Education and completed a study abroad program in Sevilla, Spain. She holds a Master’s degree in Education and is licensed to teach both Spanish and Elementary Education through the MA Department of Education. She taught Spanish in the Plymouth Public Schools for eight years before becoming a stay-at-home mom to her two children, now 5 and 2. Emily now teaches Spanish at West Falmouth Preschool and offers private tutoring to struggling students in various grades. She is very excited to be able to offer language exposure to young children and to share her love of Latin culture.
